In all the magazines, blog posts and Insta accounts at the moment the jungle/green trend is massive! From ferns and greenery, to tropical birds and accents of gold and bamboo here are some bits and pieces to easily achieve this look for your next big event.
If, like me you’re lucky enough to live in the middle of nowhere, on a bog…. You’ll find a plentiful supply of ferns in every ditch on the side of the road. Simply pick some fronds and add them to white plates for a simple way to jungle up your table. You could make a cool table runner using some hessian cloth (available in most haberdasheries or craft shops) and add some small jars filled with ferns, long grasses and seed heads from nature.

Heatons can be a treasure trove of home styling items for ridiculously low prices and I have just found these palm tree candle holders on their site! AND they’re on sale at just a measily €2.94 each – I’ll take 10! If you want to go a bit more luxe Next have fab pineapple gold candleholders for €21.

To add some colour and pop to your seating try TK Maxx (my fave shop in the world!) for some tropical print cushions. You may have to root around but I’ve found some great ones there.
Selection of cushions from TK Maxx, starting from €7.99
They also from time to time have artificial trees and plants for a fraction of the price you would pay in garden shops or homewares stores. I spotted these ones in TK Maxx Navan and they were about €90 each. Put some battery fairy lights on and bob’s your uncle – perfect prop!
Selection of artificial trees available at TK Maxx and Home Sense stores nationwide
Zara Home (available in the UK only for the moment!) have a lovely range of stailess steel cutlery that have bamboo like handles that would fit right in for this theme. If you trawl Ebay there are also several suppliers of gold plated bamboo style flatware also.

There are oodles of images of this trend on Insta and Pinterest and it can just take a few key pieces to bring your table setting to the next level.
